I'll bet that the first time you ever heard of an MLM home business opportunity presentation, the word "duplication" wasn't far behind. It's long been accepted as gospel that for memorable network marketing career success and royalty profits, you must have duplication. And to effectively recruit network marketing leaders, you must be able to present them with a turnkey system that works.

Back in 1989, I was reading the business opportunity ads in the weekend edition of USA Today. I circled a few ads and called the most inviting one. An enthusiastic voice mail message asked for my contact information. The message offered me a free audiotape loaded with profitable MLM secrets.

The mail came. I listened to the tape, by a fellow by a heavy hitter named Dayle Maloney. You may well know Dayle, an old-time MLMer, very successful.

I admit, residual income sounded great. But I wanted nothing to do with downlines, compensation plans, endless in-home meetings, listing my warm market, prelaunches, or sales presentations.

I had been there and done that and had been killed off a few times in MLM. But Dayle had some fresh strategies about how to attract targeted reps from a cold market. One distributor training point in particular stuck with me. Dayle said that if you are ever going to make a big paycheck in network marketing, if you are ever going to kiss your boss goodbye and retire from your job, you've got to do your own recruiting audiotape. No argument - you just have to.

And that thought stuck with me. A few years later, I found a life-changing MLM nutritional product. I figured if there was ever any product I could sell, it would be that one. I remembered what Dayle said. So I wrote a script and then rented studio time and recorded a 90-minute promotional audiotape. It set me apart from the masses. I had good success with it.

There are so many different ways to look for jobs. Job Hunters are as different as the people that live next door to us. We act different and we hunt different. These are some of the ways job hunters go about finding work.

The Internet Site Hunters:

These people sit at home and type in their city or zip code and all the job positions in their area pop up. Next they send in a resume by email or directly through the companies web site and wait for someone to call them. Their hunt is over. They have found the right job for them and the phone should ring soon, but more than likely they will not receive that call. There is more to getting a job than just sending in a resume via internet. What you should do next is the most important information I can give. Find a phone number for this company. Try the companies website , yellow pages, or maybe even a friend that works there.

Talk to someone that works in the Human Resource department or a secretary in the office. They can give you important information on this job. Do you have any of the requirements that they are looking for. This is the time you should fill out your resume. You now have keywords from their description of the job. See if you can get a name to use for the cover letter. Sometime they won't give you the name of the manager that does the interviews for hiring, then ask if you could use their name. A name can give your cover letter and resume a better look or even a second look. If the job you are seeking is close to where you live, ask if you can set up a meeting with the person you just talked to. Tell them you are in the area and would like to bring your resume in. They now have a face to go with your resume and they may remember you later when pulling resumes for the job.

My suggestion is to keep friends and relatives out of your resume and cover letter. There are some friends and relatives that has helped people get a job, I also know that some companies won't hire them. The question is which companies are they? This person could be a very good worker but won't get a chance because of someone they know. Keep friends and relatives out. The only time it could be in your favor is when its a family run business or that Uncle Bob plays golf every weekend with the hiring manager.

There is a job hunter I like to call the Gullible Hunters.

These poor people will fall for every scam, dishonest and trickery that is out there. Pay me some money, fill out this resume and I will guarantee you a job. Have you seen these adds? Work at home and make 1,000 dollars a day. Think about this, if you made that kind of money would you share it with others? If the job doesn't sound right to you or you have that red flag warning going off, don't make any decisions until you check the job out. Look the job up in Job Scams or Job Freud. You will probably find the answer to your gut feelings there. Remember if you have to pay someone to get a job, then it's probably a scam. There are legit stay at home jobs, but you will need to investigate them to see if they are real, usually if they don't ask for money then they are real. If you are thinking about starting your own business then it is going to cost you money.

These are some of the jobs I know that cost you money to get started.. A truck driver needs a CDL license, Real Estate Agent, Insurance Salesman. It cost to take the classes and the State Test, this comes out of your pocket, though some companies may pay for your test and physicals. Also when you market yourself it cost money; business cards, paper adds, supplies, websites, ect. Because it's for your business, look to your tax people for advice. Hopefully you will make money once you get all your requirements in order. You need to be careful though because there are scams in businesses too. So to all the gullible job hunters a word of advise, check the job out carefully, don't fall for "pay me to work here" promotions, and if a red flag goes up then walk away..fast!

The Professional Hunter.

I've been this type of hunter myself. This person usually has a college degree and has mastered several job duties. They have worked their way up the ladder. When they fill out a resume not only does it look like they are over qualified but heck it appears they should be the ones running the company. You may have been in a corporate management position and lost your job for whatever reason. Now you want that same position back with another company. Realistically you will probably never see that job again. But, if you can give your skills and accomplishments to a new employer you may get a job that's close. Make sure you tone down your resume. If you can build skyscrapers but you are applying for a Assistant Manager job at a cookie factory, they don't care what you can build, they want to know, how can you manage this area of the job. Only put in your resume what deals with your management skills and accomplishments. This is the only thing the company is looking for. Show me how you can do this job.

The last hunter I'm going to talk about is the Part Time Job Hunter.

These people really don't care if they work full time, like a college or high school student. Some may be retired from one job and just need a little more income to get by. There are some companies that will only hire part time employees, so they don't have to pay for benefits, vacation and bonuses. Now you may be thinking, why would anyone want to work there? because some part time jobs can lead to a full time positions. Show that your a reliable employee and it could work out for you. Some companies may hold a position for you for when you graduate from school. These people look at it as a stepping stone to get the training in so they can go on to bigger and better things. There are companies that hire contractors instead of full or part time employees. If you can get in as a contractor go for it. This also can lead to a full time position.

Thank goodness for all these different types of job hunters. We all think different, plan different and act different. This is what hiring companies know about us. This is what makes the employment world go around.

Freelance jobs is when a person sells services to employers without a long-term commitment. You would be under an independent contract. Normally being a freelance worker means that you would be working off the books. When you work off the books, you get paid "In hand" or in this case through pay pal or check in mail, depending on your own personally situation and the terms of that job.
a lot of people would prefer this option in case they are currently receiving unemployment benefits and would like to get extra money on top of that. Or for some reason you may not have a social security number which means you cant work in the united states. As a result Freelance "off the books" work would be better for you.
THE PROS

You get your full pay all at once. With Freelance jobs the minute your done with the assignment you get paid immediately. The best part about this is, how fast you get paid is up to you. If you have to write an article for a blog and it pays you $50 to complete it in 1 week. For most of us we can write an article in about 2 hours instead of 1 week. So the moment your done, you get paid.
THE CONS
Not steady work - since this is freelance work you get paid once you complete the job. And when your job is done, then that's it. You either have to find another freelance job on your own or maybe the person you were working with will refer you to someone else. Better yet that same person can have another job already lined up for you. So its very important to make a good impression, get the job done on time or early and make sure you do good work.
 
If your the type of person that has programming skills, great writing skills, blog designers, website designers, research shoppers, travel writing, business writing and much more. There are lots of great freelance jobs online that will help you earn extra money or maybe start a new career. The hard part is trying to find the best one for your talents and finding a replicable job board for people that are looking.
Some great sources to find freelance jobs would be to search it on large search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. But what a lot of people don't know is that you can find pretty good jobs in Craiglist as well. Craigslist is a very large classified ad website. They pretty much have everything available. Jobs, services and you can buy things etc. The best way to search for freelance work on Craigslist would be to visit the site and on the left hand side there's a search bar. All you have to do is type in freelance, or freelance jobs and maybe the state you live in and everything will come up for you. However while searching on this website please be careful. There are lots of "Jobs" out there that aren't really jobs at all. They just want you to submit the information, like on a resume for example and from there they use your information for what they really want. As a result you never hear from them again.
Just be mindful that not everyone on Craigslist is there to get you a job. A good amount of them are there to help themselves. Regardless that is still a wonderful source to find some freelance work online. Another good place to find freelance work would be on Job Boards. Now Job Boards is pretty much a fancy way of saying the "Help Wanted Ad" but for the internet. A job board is a place you go to online that has employers looking for employees on a contract basis (Freelance). Only freelance jobs are listed on the job board therefore you don't have to go through the extra hassle of filtering out freelance work from a regular job. As a result you can find your potential work much quicker and make your searching more effective.

No one wants to go around the town with their rolling briefcases or school messenger bag on their shoulders while in search for the right job because they had been rejected by different companies already.
Job haunting can really be a tedious not to mention frustrating feat to accomplish. Printing the resume as well as the picture to go with it is expensive. Every tick of the clock means that your time is ticking away only to find out that you didn't make it to the final cut. Some, because of the number of rejections they have accepted, don't even want to apply anymore.
But there are different available techniques that can save your face from those embarrassing situations you have to face when the manager tells you that you are not qualified. All you have to actually do is to master the job search techniques so your employer will spot you from the cloud and no one will have the guts to throw you out of nowhere.
1. Resume and cover letter. This is a person's first step in catching his future employer's attention. A good resume followed with a good academic standing is a way on turning your score to your boss from zero to hero. It will serve as your first Ace in the game. A good and well constructed resume can earn a positive response. Pictures may not appear that important but accept the fact that it can change a lot of things. When including a photo of yourself in your resume, choose the one that looks dignified or formal.
2. Dress Up Accordingly. Although applications can be done online nowadays, some companies still prefer if the applicant will pass it personally because of some reasons. If you will pass your application letter on a company personally, make sure that you wear appropriate clothes. Maybe dressing up on business attire may not be necessary, at least casual clothes are appropriate. Do not bring along with you your rolling briefcases or school messenger bag for they might be a little inappropriate.
3. Apply only if you're qualified. To increase your chances of being accepted for a position, pass your resume only if you know that you are qualified or you have met all of the required skills. Passing resumes to any position for pure luck is not a very good idea since the hiring body will still skip your application letter.
4. Nail down the interview. There are some companies that conduct interviews even without confirming that you are qualified for the job. First impressions make quite an impact especially to the employer. So you should be able to appear like the person they are actually looking for although the other applicants are highly qualified than you are. Answer the questions wittingly and never show doubt to your statements. Also, appear approachable but not too friendly to give the impression that you are a serious worker.
Job search techniques are not a lesson one should memorize. It is mastered through frequent circumstances when one looks for a job. The more one is exposed to job searches, the more he becomes an expert.
